Commissioners Appreciate Services of Mr. Phelps.
Yesterday the County Commissioners for Anne Arundel county forwarded to Mayor Timanus, of Baltimore city, a letter containing the following resolutions recently adopted by the Board:
"Whereas, the County Commissioners having condemned certain concrete work on Spa creek bridge; and
"Whereas, the Mayor of Baltimore city has been very kind to the County Commissioners in furnishing them with an engineer to represent the county as arbitrator; therefore, be it
"Resolved by the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county in joint session this 20th day of November, 1906, that a vote of thanks be extended to Hon. E. Clay Timanus, Mayor of Baltimore city, and the clerk is hereby authorized to spread these resolutions upon the minutes and to send a copy of the same to the Mayor of Baltimore city."
Chief Engineer Charles E. Phelps, Jr., of the Electrical Subway Commission was named by Mayor Timanus to represent Anne Arundel county as arbitrator of the differences with the contractor on the Spa creek bridge.
