NAVAL.—Commodore Barton has been ordered to the command of the U. S. sloop of war John Adams, destined for the coast of Africa, the health of Commodore Upshur, (who goes to relieve Commodore Powell, prevent his assuming command, and Commodore Green to the sloop of war Decatur, not fitting for sea at Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Lieut. G. T. Sinclair has been ordered to the sloop of war Germantown, now equipping at Brooklyn Navy Yard. Destination the Coast of Africa, as the flag ship of Com. Lavalette.—Norfolk Her.
