The first Sunday of this month was communion day at Abyssinia Baptist Church. Pastor Byrd spoke from the subject, "Do You Know Him?" Youth Day was observed on last Sunday and music was rendered by the Sunday School and Young Adult Choirs.
The Usher Board celebrated its fiftieth anniversary with a program at 3:30 Sunday afternoon.
The church will begin its two weeks revival services on Monday night, September 18. Prayer services will be held the first week and preaching will begin the second week with the Rev. E. D. Brooks as guest minister.
Services for next Sunday will be conducted by Rev. Henry Moody of this church. Rev. Moody will be the guest minister at the 59th anniversary program of the First Heyward Baptist Church in Ridgeland, S. C. on Sunday morning September 24, and will deliver the morning sermon.
