SENIOR CLASS PLAY
IS WELL PRESENTED

The presentation of "The Mummy and the Mumps" on Friday evening was very creditable. A cast of ten interpreted their various parts as perfectly as amateurs could. The play in itself had an interesting plot and never lagged in movement from the first to the last.

Abbey McCoy in the role of Agatha Laidlow very ably carried out the part of the manager of a fashionable girls' school. She did not once lose her character, and showed an excellent climax to her play acting career in high school. Robert Zeidler as her nephew, Billy Laidlow lived his part with zest and finish. He and Loyal Gunderson in the role of Francis Briscoe held the center of interest throughout the play. Especially clever was the feminine disguise that Loyal played. The three girls, Lucille Goodman, Alice Jacobsen and Winnifred Kelly all interpreted their parts neatly. Lillian Christiansen interpreted the keen-eyed reporter very nicely.

Arnold Peterson did surprisingly well in the role of Sir Hector Fish. The whole play involved about him and he maintained his "hole and corner" part throughout. He offered an amusing contrast to Loyal Gunderson in the impersonation of Miss Laidrow. Erwin Nelson made a good sheriff. The biggest comedy part was played by Charles Johnson as the bell-hop. Racker. His walk and carriage were as natural on the stage as if he had always done it.

An act from the sixth grade, a vocal solo by Mary Kimball and one by Eugene Schyttner of Watford City, N. D., were the features between acts.

Some comment should be made on the efficient work of the stage and property managers: Eugene Peterson, George Fiske, Dorothy Ator and Valerie Lee. Miss Njaa coached the play, assisted by Miss Dyste.
