Full Text

The debate on atomic control continues in the United States.

White Russia was expected to follow the Soviet contention that Russia will have enough atomic bombs if war comes, but is using atomic power for peaceful construction.

U. S. assistant secretary of state John Rickerson said yesterday the United States is both using and sharing its atomic know-how with medical and research laboratories throughout the world.

What atomic knowledge are the Russians sharing for the benefit of mankind? he asked.

He urged the adoption of the majority control plan which Russia opposes.

This plan, he said, provides for an international co-operative under U. N. direction that, through inspection and control, will make such atomic power used for peaceful purposes only.
