Full Text
The rise in the price of wool is causing sheep to go upward once more.
We have noticed that there is a demand for sheep that has sprung up during the past three months, and it bids fair to strengthen as sheep raising is shown to be the best business in the State for men of moderate means.
There is no reason now why sheep raising should not pay. One thousand good ewes should produce $1000 worth of wool and $1000 worth of good lambs at present prices, giving a handsome income on the investment. The 1000 sheep should not require more than 1000 acres pasture and the product of 25 acres in corn or tame grass.
The business will pay on such a basis: consequently sheepmen should keep a stiff upper lip, and give their flocks every attention possible, knowing there is a good reward in store for them, and a steady, remunerative income.-Texas Wool Grower.
