New Car That Cost
Only $1 Is Wrecked

Barnesville, Jan. 8—Repairs to a new 1946 Chevrolet belonging to Mrs. Helen Starr of Mt. Olivett are going to cost her several times the price she paid for the car last year as a result of an accident Sunday afternoon on the mill hill at Batesville, in Noble county.

The new car cost her $1,—the price of a ticket in a Bethesda fire department drawing.

Sunday, the car skidded on loose slag on the hill, and went off the road and overturned. The top and fenders were damaged, but it was possible to drive the car to Shepherd's garage here for repairs.
