DEFALCATIONS IN DODGE.

Our Democratic friends of Dodge County are having a streak of bad luck with their Democratic treasurers. A Committee of investigation has reported the account of Messrs. Ames and Conner, former Treasurers, which reflects no credit on the manner these officers took care of the people's money. Defalcations amounting to more than three thousand dollars are shown during their administration. Dodge is a strong Democratic County, and of course guards against the election of good and capable men. "It is my turn next, you go for me, and I'll go for you." How long will this state of things be allowed to run? We are informed that these gentlemen, when called upon to settle, refused, and are determined to go before the court. It appears from this investigation that the people of Dodge county have to pay very dearly for the luxury of copperhead rule.
