Full Text

Fashion.—The Wakefield (England) Journal complains that the anticipated decease of the King continues to have an unfavourable influence upon manufactures, especially those of a fancy kind. It speaks volumes of the evils of royalty, and the criminal folly of fashion, that the sickness of one individual is sufficient to throw out of employment hundreds of men, each of whom is endowed with affections as holy, and perhaps purer, each of whom feels pain as acutely and enjoys pleasure with more zest, and each of whom is the centre of a circle quite as affectionate as that which surrounds the couch of majesty.—Bost. Cour.
