Full Text
If you want your town to thrive, make all your purchases at home; give your own mechanics the preference; when you want anything go out and buy from those who are your townsmen and patrons, and thus keep your money at home. If you want a pair of boots or shoes, get them at home; if a suit of clothes is wanted, see if your home tailor can make them before sending abroad, and if you want a job of printing done, don't send away or give an order to a runner for a foreign office if you can get it done at home as well and just as cheap. In short, help each other and in that way you help your own town.
