It has been a sincere Pleasure to me, and to all of us here, to hear of the Fondness and Tenderness which has reign'd all over the Royal Family since our late Misfortune; and what has added very much to that Pleasure is the Choice of the Preceptors for the young Prince. When the King entrusted the Bishop of Norwich, in particular, with this important Charge, His Majesty used the following Words: Train him up in the Principles of Virtue and Religion: Impress on his Mind a strict Regard for Truth: And make him well acquainted with the Constitution of the Kingdom which he is to govern. What a Patriot Speech for a King! and how much ought such a King to be beloved by his People.
