Full Text

Letter from Leghorn, Dec. 14.

We hear from Marseilles, that the Court of France has hired above 150 Transport Ships in the Ports of Provence, for embarking 15,000 Men; but as they will not have Occasion for any thing like such a Number for the Expedition to Corsica, 'tis believed there is some other Service for them in View, and that they may even be sent into Tuscany, to replace the Imperial Troops, which, in that Case, may be sent into Hungary: What seems to confirm this Opinion is, that a Commissary is arrived here from France, and has hir'd a House for 6 Months. We are, besides, assur'd that some Imperial Regiments in the Great Dutchy have already received Orders to hold themselves in a Readiness to march.
