Scores of spectators who jammed Municipal Court Room Four to capacity Thursday morning heard Judge Charles Karabell turn over to the grand jury five men on charges of criminally attacking two girls whose combined ages did not equal that of any one of the accused defendants.
The total amount of bond assessed by Judge Karabell was $3,500.
Edward (Fox) Brown, 2805 N. West street, owner of the Essodan Club, 400 block Indiana avenue, was given $500 bond; Oscar Jones, 430 N. ARRESTED AFTER REPORT
Brown and his four accomplices were arrested over a period of about three weeks after Mrs. Julia Clarey reported to police that her eleven-year-old daughter and another thirteen-year-old girl, both of whom had been missing for some time, accused the men of having intimate relationship with them.
