Our Avenue is growing with its colored business men and the latest new comer on our great street is Mr. Geo. S. Stewart, the State Agent for Georgia, who has erected a beautiful building of two stories of his own to house the business of the Georgia Agency for the company whose main office is in Washington D. C. which is the American Home Mutual Life Insurance Company.
It was just a few years ago Mr. Stewart started to organizing fraternal lodge in Crawfordville Ga., and succeeded in working up in every hamlet and town up the Georgia road into Atlanta, he met keen competition. So in 1941 he converged all his members to be policyholders in the American Home Mutual Life Insurance Company.
Mr. George Stewart informs the writer that tonight his building will be dedicated by a program with Rev. L. M. Terrill as the Master of Ceremonies with officials from the home office in Washington, D. C. attending Again, this column welcomes Mr. Stewart to Auburn Avenue.
