Prospects of

Drilling Looms

The drillers who will sink the hole deeper in the Archer well did not give out any information for the press or the public, but yesterday Wm. Willard of the Herald Staff obtained information which leads us to believe there will be activity at the Archer project in the near future.

In going to Minot he encountered a man with a huge disabled truck, and who asked for a lift into Kenmare to get another truck to haul in the disabled one. He told Mr. Willard he had the contract for hauling the casing from the Mohall well, which proved a "duster," to the Archer well, and the crew is now pulling the casing at that well, and as soon as they get out the 10 inch casing his fleet of trucks will commence delivery to Archer. He expected to commence delivery about next week, providing the 10 inch casing is being pulled by that time.
