NAACP Youth NCNW Urges Preparation For Mass Meet At Supreme Court School Decision

NAACP Youth Mass Meet At Clark Today

Implications of school segregation suits, pending before the U. S. Supreme Court, will be discussed today in Davage Auditorium, Clark College at 4 p. m. when the Youth of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People hold a mass meeting.

With the date for a decision, which may change the future of Negro children, especially in the South, coming close, the NAACP is readily becoming alert in stressing the importance of the issue.

Last week the national office asked for all churches in the U. S. to offer prayers for a decision outlawing segregation practices, which many have held are actually anti-American and in violation to the Constitution.

Dr. W. H. Hale, director of the local youth movement has called the meeting which will be accompanied by music by all Negro high school bands.

Herbert Wright, National Director of Youth Activities of the N. A. A. C. P., will be the featured speaker, and will discuss the implications of the school cases.
