114 MAKE HONOR ROLL
AT MOREHOUSE COLLEGE

Honors Day was observed at Morehouse College April 25, with a special chapel service at which Professor B. T. Harvey, head of the Department of Chemistry, was the speaker. One hundred and fourteen students at the 83-year-old college for men qualified for the Honor Roll or Dean's List during the first semester of the academic year 1949-1950. This list is compiled on the basis of work done during that semester; and to qualify, a student must maintain an average of B or above with no grade below C.

This year's Honor Roll lists 35 seniors, 23 juniors, 20 sophomores, 35 freshmen, and 1 unclassified student.

AFRICANS ON ROLL

Among the 114 men to qualify for the Honor Roll there are four from Africa: they are Hezekiah A. Oluwasanmi, a junior, from Nigeria, West Africa; Louis B. Emodi, Fidelis O. Obi, and Nathaniel Olaku, all freshmen and natives of Nigeria.

Oluwasanmi was recently elected president of the Morehouse Student Body Organization for the academic year 1950-1951.
