JUNEAU, (AP)

McGillvray Brothers of Ketchikan had the apparent low bid for the construction of a National Guard armory at Kodiak.

The Ketchikan company's bid was for $190,650. Construction of the armory is scheduled to begin in June and is to be completed by next March.

The only other bid for the project was for $286,192. It was submitted by Morrison-Knudson Co.

A total of $145,000 of the armory cost will be paid by the federal government. The remaining cost will be paid by the territorial government, with the financing scheduled through a bond issue.
