Full Text

An Enemy to the Potato Bug.

It is announced that a scientist, who has given a great deal of thought to the subject, has found an insect in Japan which destroys the potato bug. This is a discovery of very great value in many respects. In some localities where potatoes have been given up as too much trouble to raise, the bugs have attacked the tomato vines. There is also a weed of which they are fond, and upon which they will live when potato vines are not forthcoming. To find a destroyer of those pests will win the gratitude of an enormous potato growing constituency. -New York Ledger.
