the hotel to keep them for at least two

Finally the demand became
so great for their services in the so-
ciety of the State Capitol, that they
went to Austin, where they literally
took the city by storm.

during the last season when Francis
and Wayne were there All of the ex-
ecutive society of Austin paid them
During the past two months Francis
and Wayne have been dancing at the
Gunter in San Antonio, and have been
pleasing the Four Hundred of that
city to such a degree that society has
most reluctantly learned that the
couple will leave San Antonio for Cor-
pus Christi However, they have be-
come reconciled to the loss knowing
that Corpus Christi is but a step away
from San Antonio, and a much better
place to spend a vacation, anyway.
Their arrival at the Nueces hotel will
be Monday of next week, and on Tues-
day the night following they will give
their first exhibition Supper et Danse
This is said this fashion which has
met with popularity over the United
States, and as Corpus Christi and the
Nueces must keep up with every thing
progressive, the custom will be inau-
gurated here, for the benefit of Cor-
pus Christi people, as well as the sum-
mer visitors to the city, who will not
be able to say, after they leave, that
they were not entertained while here
The plan of this Supper et Danse,
which in English is "supper-dance" is
this Francis and Wayne, during each
course of the supper give exhibitions
of their dancing, and when that course
is over, those present follow the ex-
ample of the leaders and dance one
dance, after which they go back to the
next course in the supper. This con-
tinues until the meal is finished, when
a general dance is held in the ball
room.
