Full Text

LEWIS CASS, For President.

If our political opponents had ransacked the world in search of a puppet to be moved at the will of Slavery, they could not have found a more supple thing than Lewis Cass. He is the very pimp and Sir Pandarus of the Southern Overseer. He is exactly a Northern man with Southern principles; he seems no more indigenous to a free State, than a cypress tree festooned with moss, seems indigenous to the granite hills of New Hampshire. He has sold himself to the black spirit of the South; and it makes the blood of an honest Freeman tingle to see such a slimy reptile trying to crawl into power.
