RAILROAD ACCIDENT.

An Engine and Three Cars Thrown From the Track at Yarmouth - No One Hurt.

PORTLAND, March 27.

The Maine Central Pullman train from Bangor, last night, met with a serious accident near Yarmouth, in "Sodom cut." A landslide had piled a lot of stones and earth on the track, which threw the engine, baggage, express and mail cars from the track, tearing up the rails considerably. Fortunately no one was hurt. As soon as possible a wrecking train was sent to transfer the passengers and clear the track. The cars were thrown from the trucks, but were not damaged beyond repair. The amount of the damage will not be very large. It was remarkable that no one was hurt for the train was wrecked while at a high rate of speed, the engineer not being able to see the obstruction in time to stop his engine.
