The brig Francis Jane arrived from St. Martins on Aug. 22d reporting a severe hurricane commencing on the night of the 17th and continuing until 4 P.M. of the 18th. The barque Imogene, from Charleston bound to New York with 1,600 bbls. salt, was driven ashore on rocks, capsized, and filled. No news from Southern Windward Islands, with fears of great destruction there.
