HEAVY BOND ROBBERY.
Brooklyn Detectives Working up the Case—The Party Implicated Traced to a House in Brooklyn.

(By Telegraph to the National Republican.)

NEW YORK, March 24.—Several of the Brooklyn detectives have been set to work late this afternoon upon a case in which the greatest secrecy is maintained, but from what can be learned there has been a heavy bond robbery. The bonds are said to be Government bonds, and the amount is said to be $200,000. A New Jersey detective traced the party implicated to President street, Brooklyn, and then communicated with the Brooklyn police. Judge Walsh issued a search warrant for the house on President street where the bonds are believed to be concealed. They have not at present writing been found, however.

Note.—This may have some connection with the matter reported from Newark to-day.
