Good Neighbors

The nearly 1000 members of Local 533 of the United Auto Workers in Fostoria think a lot of their town. They've helped Fostoria in many ways.

One of the ways they're proudest of is the help they've given to one of Fostoria's smallest but heartwarming community agencies: The Karrick School for Handicapped Children, run by Mrs. Paul Karrick.

To help Mrs. Karrick and her school for hard-to-teach children, the members of Local 533 have placed their union hall at Mrs. Karrick's disposal without charge. Mrs. Karrick conducts her school from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. daily.

We like to pass along a story such as this one every once in a while to point up the fact again that union members are citizens of their communities first and union members second.
