HITS NEW RECORD

Enlistment Of 10 Men Yesterday
A New One-Day High Mark

Ten men were accepted by the local Navy recruiting station yesterday, to set a record, according to CCS J. G. Paradise, officer in charge of the station.

These men were mostly former students at New Hanover high school, members of this year's graduating class, Paradise said.

They are a complement of the 19 men sent during the past six days by the local offices, making a total of 19.

Accepted
The men accepted for enlistment were: E. L. King, Sneads Ferry; J. M. Eichorn, G. W. Cannon and L. P. Stanley, Jr. all of Wilmington; N. E. Adams, Jr., Ocean Drive, S. C., and R. B. Branch, Lumberton.

Negro men accepted last week were: Henry James, Jr., Leland; F. A. Howard, Jr., Wilmington; J. W. Gray, Wilmington.
