Full Text
Mr. Martin believes that the work of the Association is too important and has made too many blind people happy to suffer for the lack of financial support. He says he is determined to cover the entire Negro community in interest of the blind. Mr. J. R. Smith of the Smith Electric Appliance and Record Shop and John G. Thornton, who are also Board members, are assisting in the campaign. These three men are the only blind persons authorized by the Board to solicit funds for the Metropolitan Atlanta Association for Colored Blind.
