Count Lacy, Field Marshal of her Imperial Majesty's Armies, Commander in Chief of her Forces in the conquer'd Provinces, and Governor of the City and Fortresses of Riga, died on the 30th of last Month. This General was born in Ireland, in the Province of Munster, of an ancient and illustrious Family. His first Campaigns were made in France, where he gave Proofs of his Courage and Conduct. From thence he went into the Service of the Emperor Peter the Great, and rose gradually to the highest Military Post, lamented by the whole Russian Nation.
