Accident Victim
Ready To Fight

Lola Collins, colored, objected strenuously to being taken to the city hospital after she had been one of the parties in an automobile wreck last night.

In fact, Lola Collins objected so strenuously that she offered combat to hospital nurses and Dr. H. B. Gray, and would not be quieted until lodged in the county jail. She was unconscious from shock when brought to the hospital, and was upon the operating table when she regained consciousness. Objecting to her new surroundings, she began battling the doctor and nurses, using various strong words while doing so.

With the Collins woman in the wreck were Theodore Villa, driver; Maude Villa, Henry Thomas and Bud Adams, all colored. According to deputies, they were all under the influence of liquor.

The accident occurred in Imperial when a train struck the car driven by Villa. None of the occupants were hurt.
