A warning.—A colored lad, named Charles Tew, son of late Lango Tew, aged about 14 years, fell through an air hole in the ice while skating on Easton's Pond, Christmas afternoon, and perished; having got so far under the ice as to be unable to extricate himself. This should operate as a warning to those who frequent the Pond or the pleasure of skating, (in a particular manner the great number of lads and boys,) not to venture too near such dangerous places. The body of the unfortunate lad has been found and conveyed to his friends.—Newport Her. Times.
