In a Letter addressed to Messrs. Walpole, Franklin, Wharton, and Company, Proprietors of Lands on the Banks of the Ohio, it is said that there are about 500 Families, in one particular District of Scotland, who intend to go and settle the ensuing Summer in some Part of America; their Number in all, with Children and Servants, being about 2000. The same Letter says, there are 20,000 People in Ireland, and the North of England, who will be obliged to leave their native Soil for the same Reasons; namely, Rise of Lands, Decrease of Provisions, and Want of Employment.
