Charles Town, W. Va., September 12.—The following cases were before the Supreme court to-day: John Hamilton, and others, vs. the County Court of Tucker county, writ of prohibition awarded. This prohibits the execution of the order of the County Court to remove the county seat from Parsons to St. George, where it formerly had been. This puts an end to the contest in that county over the location of its county seat and the town of Parsons has been victorious.
The petition of A. C. Minear for a rule against the County Court of Tucker county to show cause why it should not be punished for contempt of this court in disregarding writs of error and supersedeas in this case was refused.
Court adjourned for the term to meet in special term in Charleston on October 25.
