COLUMBUS—Details of a "Benefit Contract Plan" for patrons of Ohio State University's Stadium Theatre were announced recently by Prof. John E. Dietrich, director of theatre.
Purpose of the plan is to make available large groups of tickets at reduced prices, according to Professor Dietrich. For example, $1.25 tickets for the summer theatre are sold for $.75 under the contract plan and may be purchased in blocks from 25 to 250.
Clubs and organizations may thus attend the theatre at a 40 per cent discount over the regular admission price.
Many groups use the benefit contract plan as a means of raising funds for their favorite charities, Professor Dietrich states. They purchase the tickets at reduced price, re-sell them at the regular price, and then donate profits from such sales to the charity of their choice.
Tickets may be purchased under this plan for all Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday performances of the 8-week summer season, which will open the latter part of June.
Further information may be secured from the Stadium Theatre Business Manager, 205 Derby Hall, Ohio State University, Columbus. Telephone is AXminster 9-3148, Ext. 8241.
