From a late London paper.

A short sketch of the Life of Ankerstrom, the Swedish Regicide.

His father was Lieutenant Colonel and Chevalier of the Order of the Sword; his Mother's Name was Hedwig Drufra. He was at first brought up with his parents; but at eight years of age sent to Upsal. On the death of his Father and when he had attained his 15th year, he was received among the pages at Court, and obtained the place of Subaltern in a regiment.--Having sold this place, he was nominated an Ensign of the guards. In 1783 he resigned, and married Gustave Elizabeth Lowen, who had a dowry of 4000 crowns Argent de Banque.

Two sons and two daughters are the fruit of this marriage. Ankerstrom soon after retired into the country, but was ejected from his residence by a process of the proprietors. In 1790 he returned to Stockholm, and fixed his abode there. During the last Summer he went to Gothland with the Seneschal Steenhof, and the Vice-Auditor Runeburg.

In endeavouring to make an acquisition of some land he met with another disagreeable rencontre. In 1791 he returned to the capital, and was prohibited from leaving it; yet towards Christmas, this prohibition was taken off. He afterwards assisted at the Diet of Geke, and on its close returned to Stockholm.

The rest of his life is too well known.
