Captain Stover from Eastport, informs us that a few days previous to his leaving that place, a company of counterfeiters, store keepers, &c. had been detected at Robbinston, who had been for some time committing depredations in that neighborhood.

One of the villains by the name of Ball, being closely pursued, discharged a musket at Captain John Downs, which so severely wounded him that he survived but a few hours after. Ball and two others, his confederates, have been taken and confined at the fort at Eastport.
