Prohibition Enforcement Commissioner Bowen has undertaken to put a stop to the sale of ginger as a beverage. The Federal government does not recognize the state's certificates for personal or domestic use; but in the indiscriminate sale of ginger assumes that it is for beverage purposes. Information from Greenville is that there has been a general tightening up in the ginger business all along the line. Judge Watkins is quoted as saying that he will give prison sentences for violation of the law.
