Buenos Ayres Academy of Medicine.—To learn that the new states of the South, in the midst of all these difficulties, are not negligent of education, science, literature and the arts is very satisfactory. On these points, in reference to Colombia, we have had occasion to speak favorably, and we are now pleased to find that the first number of the transactions of the Buenos Ayres Academy of Medicine is favorably noticed by the Medical Adviser in Boston—It contains several dissertations on medical subjects—Don Manuel Marino, a graduate of the Maryland University, is among its contributors. Dr. Chapman of Philadelphia, and Dr. Mitchell of New York, are honorary members of the Academy.
