IRISH TROOPS STRIKE.
Surrender Their Arms to Colonel on Getting News From Home.

London, July 6.—There is no likelihood of spreading of the mutiny of part of a Connaught regiment at Jullunder, India, which surrendered arms and ammunition to the colonel upon the receipt of news of events in Ireland, in the opinion of officials at the India office today. It was pointed out that the incident had not taken the form of a violent uprising but was merely a protest against conditions in Ireland.

The report of the incident, contained in dispatch from Simla, said three-fourths of the battalion of Connaught rangers had handed up their arms and ammunition to their commander.
