REMODELING OF GALVA CHURCH IS UNDER WAY

(Special Correspondence.)

Galva, July 24. The repairing and remodeling work at the Galva Congregational church is progressing very rapidly. The asbestos shingle roof is finished. Saturday the ground forms were placed for the concrete base of the stucco work. As soon as the carpenters lath the building on the outside the masons will apply the stucco work on the exterior of the building. The large high steeple that adorned the house of worship for so many years has been removed and a more modern steeple erected. The chapel building on the north side of the main edifice to the east side will be removed. All of the money necessary for the work has been subscribed and paid in to the building committee.
