AUTO CRANK IN CONTEMPT

District Judge T. F. Moran held court at Reno with his right arm in a plaster cast.

Had it not been for his early training as a telegraph operator, he would have been at serious inconvenience in writing, but he used his left hand for that purpose without trouble.

The judge was making arrangements to attend the funeral of Matthew Howard at Empire Tuesday after sustaining a fracture of one bone in the right forearm and the dislocation of another near the wrist when his automobile back-fired at him while he was cranking the machine at Reno.
