Bridal Pair Meets With
A Runaway Accident;
Bridegroom Injured
Returning from a brief honeymoon
trip to Austin W. B. Martin and bride
nee Miss Tillie Magerstadt, encountered an exciting runaway accident
last evening, as a result of which Mr.
Martin is confined in the Santa Rosa
hospital with serious injuries.
The accident happened last evening
about 8:30 o'clock as they were driving in a buggy along Austin street,
the horse became frightened near the
railroad track and became unmanageable. The occupants of the buggy
were Mr. Martin and bride and Lu-
cille Miller, aged 11 years, and they
were thrown out, while the buggy was
wrecked. Beyond a severe shaking
up Mrs. Martin and the little girl
were not injured. Mr. Martin
was
injured about the head and is reported
resting easy at the hospital and out
of danger.
Mr. Martin's father, Judge George
M. Martin, district attorney of Atas-
cosa county, will be in the city this
evening from Pleasanton to call on
his son. The young pair were mar-
ried in this city, on Wednesday and
were preparing to go to their future
home at Pleasanton.
