Gov. Governor Herman Talmadge Saturday asked Georgia educational leaders to choose between keeping the Minimum Foundation program in operation or seeking a 10 per cent pay raise for the state's teachers.

Among those being polled by telegrams from the Governor are state superintendent M. D. Collins and J. Harold Saxon, executive secretary of the Georgia Education Association.

Collins said he had received the telegram but probably would not reply until Monday. He indicated, however, that he wanted both the raise for teachers and additional funds for the Minimum Foundation program.

Saxon could not be reached immediately for comment.
