The members of the Carver family wish to express their appreciation to the parents for continuing to co-operate with the school program. It is to be remembered that the school can be no greater than its loyal supporters. We hope that the same spirit of cooperation will be in existence for years to come.
We were able to gain a teacher during the 1959-60 school term because our attendance warranted such. Last year, because of attendance, we lost one teacher. Now, as a result of still more absentees, we have lost two more teachers. Please try to get your children in school and keep them in school, so that we will not lose another teacher.
In order to stay well, it is necessary that each person has a balanced diet. Encourage your children to take advantage of the meals in the lunch room. Lunches will still be only 15c with an addition for milk.
PTA meeting will be Monday, September 18. at 7:30 P.M. The PTA Steering Committee is asking everyone to attend this meeting, since they have important business to transact.
Mr. E. W. Lash is principal of George Washington Carver School.
