A company of infantry left Mouse Creek Depot, for Knoxville, on the 27th. The following are the officers: A. Forrest, Captain; Isaiah Garrison, First Lieutenant; John Rentfro, Second; Jas. Richards.

We learn a large crowd assembled to see the company off and bid them God-speed in the good work in which they had enlisted. The people of that region, with their usual hospitality and patriotism, had provided a dinner ample for a multitude. A beautiful Silk Flag was presented to the company by F. W. Waugh and Ballard. We also understand the ladies of the Mouse Creek and Easternallee Soldiers' Aid Society furnished Capt. Forrest's company with a considerable quantity of clothing. All honor to the patriotic people of Mouse Creek and vicinity! - they always do things of the sort up a little better than anybody else.
