Full Text

We hear from Jamaica that Trade was extremely dull, and from all appearances likely to continue so: But that the Merchants of that Island having transmitted a very Pathetic REMONSTRANCE to the Court of Great Britain, representing that it was impracticable for them to make Remittances to England, and that the Island will soon be in a ruinous Condition, unless the Trade to the Spanish Main was permitted, they had the Satisfaction of hearing that the Prohibition of that Trade was taken off. (May the Same gracious Attention be paid to the united Supplications of his Majesty's most dutiful and loyal Subjects on the Continent, so justly occasioned by the late Duties and Impositions.)
