GAR PLUNGES INTO BAY
DRIVER TAKES BATH

George Carlson had an icy swim in the Ketchikan bay waters recently says the Ketchikan Chronicle. Coming to town in a car belonging to Harry Nixon the car left the Tongass Highway on the grade just north of the Smiley cannery and plunged into the bay. The tide was high at the time. The driver made his escape thru a broken window and swam ashore. Owing to the fact that the water cushioned the car it seems to have been but little damaged other than the broken window.
