Full Text

WHEN a party, under the specious pretence of conducting with moderation, are secretly working to destroy the liberties of the people, it behoves that people to watch them with circumspect and accurate observation. The federal party are the supporters of G. Britain in every act of hostility and aggression towards our beloved country—they have advocated her cause in the wanton murder of our citizens—in the invasion of our rights ; and in her insidious attempts to destroy the liberties of the country. Not only have the federalists stood forth her champion, and enlisted under her banners ; but they have repeatedly advocated measures, which that government, with all its corruption, has not had the hardihood to vindicate.
