The Burlington correspondent of our big contemporary the Reporter furnishes that paper with this interesting item:

Most people familiar with Burlington will remember the neat white dwelling house owned by W. H. D. Green, which stands next below the hotel lot; it would puzzle them to recognize it now, for he has had it completely remodeled, and now the front of it is a model, small but perfect, of a city millinery store and ladies furnishing establishment. A peep into the show window makes a bachelor feel as if he had obtained a glimpse of Paradise. Such flowers, such filmy lace and fluffy flowers, such Lisbon satins, to say nothing of the marvellous combinations of all these, which so puzzle the mind masculine as to what they are, how made, and above all, what they are intended for, but which the ladies (bless their wise little hearts) place on their heads in the most killing manner and pronounce loves of bonnets. The favored few who have been allowed to enter by the side door say that back of the perfect store is a perfect home. What a thought for a lonely man who loves good cigars and other costly luxuries, and does not, alas, love work. Still, none but the brave deserve the fair.

Miss Trumbull, the young lady who presides over all this beauty, fairly took away the breath of your humble servant by declaring it only took her two days to select and purchase her entire stock.
