A gentleman from Falmouth, informs that the Packet from Nantucket for this port, was chased into Falmouth yesterday, by the privateer Retaliation. The Packet was immediately manned by about 50 inhabitants, with a field-piece and musketry, and went in pursuit of the privateer, with an intention to capture her; but were unable to come up with her. The privateer had a prize sloop in company when she chased the Packet, and on being pursued in turn, abandoned her, and she was re-taken.
