Full Text

Romans 9:4-33. I am requested by one of our F. Baptist ministers to request an exposition of Romans 9:4 to 33d inclusive. An able explanation by some one of the writers for the Star, I trust, will be given. It would be of great use to the cause of God and his holy truth in this place, as a certain minister has lately come into the place to preach, who preaches that awful doctrine, that God made some souls to be damned eternally, while others are to be saved by a decree of God, against their will. He is bearing rather too hard on our minister, and the doctrine we so much love, that all may be saved who will come to God by his Son. An explanation is expected by some one of our able writers immediately.

Joseph Pennington.
